2017 Tooth & Nail The Stand 750mL

$35.99
These are our blended wines; bold, unconventional and unapologetic. The Tooth & Nail labels are John James Audubon originals; beasts of the early 1830s fighting “Tooth & Nail” to survive. Here Audubon depicts the brave boar protecting its den. No matter if one falls, there will always be another to STAND sentinel.
Tasting Notes

Ripe black fruit, figs, and boysenberry jam lift from the glass while intoxicating oak aromas of coffee, caramel and coco powder add to the complexity of this full bodied lush wine. The palate finishes with sweet lingering tannins which rounds out this truly hedonistic wine.

Vineyard: Tolliver Ranch

Bordered by the Estrella river in Paso Robles, Tolliver Ranch features well-drained, sandy-gravely soils that are acidic due to the presence of decomposed granite, unlike most soil profiles in the Paso Robles region. Conditions at the site are ideal for big red varietals such as Petite Sirah, Syrah and Cabernet which thrive in the vineyard’s soils, and utilize the long growing season. The combination of terroir and a slow and steady growing ripening season builds complexity of flavors in the wine.
